We return to Eastbourne’s fabulous Queens Hotel on Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd February 2019. In addition to our specially curated film programme, this third edition of the festival will feature the following musical components.
Opening Night Party with Donna Leake
We’re thrilled to announce that Brilliant Corners resident DJ and NTS Radio host Donna Leake will join us on Friday 1st February for a very special opening night party. Her sets spread far and wide, always depending on how she feels in the moment and for getting lost in the present. Music for open ears, open minds, open hearts and zero expectations.
Audiophile Listening Room in partnership with Analogue Foundation
We’ve teamed up with audio experts The Analogue Foundation to bring a new audiophile listening experience to Overnight Film Festival 2019. The Analogue Foundation will be kitting out one of the hotel’s seaview bedrooms with a high-quality sound system, featuring Audio-Technica cartridges, Quad amplification and Wharfedale speakers. The audiophile listening room will host daily communal listening sessions, with a focus on film scores and soundtracks played on vinyl. Guests will also have the opportunity to bring along their favourite vinyl and hear it on the top quality sound system during daily ‘drop in’ sessions.
The Analogue Foundation is a curator of experiences, helping us all to understand and appreciate the value of analogue now and long into the future. Established by Japanese analogue audio specialist Audio-Technica, Grammy Award-winning producer and studio engineer Russell Elevado, and the international art and genre-bending music group Soundwalk Collective. It aims to unite musicians, DJs and producers to celebrate the essence of analogue sound.
